Abortion ‘buffer zones’ rolled out across England and Wales

New laws which create ‘buffer zones’ around abortion clinics came into force across England and Wales on 31 October, after this November edition of ET went to print.

Under the new law, it will be a criminal offence for anyone within 150 metres of an abortion clinic ‘to do anything that intentionally or recklessly influences someone’s decision to use abortion services, obstructs them, or causes harassment or distress to someone using or working at these premises’.
