About 100 people from around 50 churches met for the Grace Baptist Assembly in Swanwick, Derbyshire, in May to discuss the pressures facing many churches and Christians today.
The promotional material for the Assembly said, ‘Many Reformed Baptist churches are small. For most, evangelism is hard and slow.
‘Christians face dilemmas in school, university, and the workplace – and often in their own families – because of the aggressive promotion of LGBT and other agendas. How did we get here? And where do we go from here? What do we need to be ready for?’
Ian Jemmett, Elder of Bethersden Baptist Church, Kent, spoke about ‘Where are we and why?’ He gave an overview of French philosophers and cultural Marxism that has influenced key institutions of our society.
