Christians in Brazil are being targeted for censorship because they have attempted to criticise President Lula’s stance on issues including abortion and sex education.

According to religious liberty advocacy group ADF International, Christians have found their content banned on social media or their user accounts suspended if, for example, they criticise the Brazilian President, Lula da Silva, for expressing his support for expanding access to abortion.

Content has also been banned, or user accounts suspended, if Christian groups use social media raise concerns about the president promoting sexually explicit books as part of a ‘sexuality education’ initiative in schools.
