A Christian man who has been banned from the teaching profession for refusing to use a pupil’s preferred pronoun has lost his appeal at the High Court.
Lawyers acting for Joshua Sutcliffe say the decision to ban him from the classroom is an interference with his right to free speech and religious liberty.
But Mr Justice Pepperall ruled against him, saying there was ‘no merit’ in the argument that his human rights had been interfered with.
‘This is the belief I am fighting for which is shared by not only Christians but many who do not believe in harmful transgender ideology.
