Former government minister and sitting Finnish parliamentarian, Päivi Räsänen, has submitted her defence to the Finnish Supreme Court ahead of standing trial a third time for her Bible-verse tweet.

She is being hounded by prosecutors because she used social media to disagree with her church’s sponsorship of an LGBT Pride event, and for quoting the New Testament book of Romans.

Two previous trials ended in her acquittal, but Finnish prosecutors are still taking the case all the way to the Finnish Supreme Court.
