Demonstrations

The international community has been watching the situation in Israel escalate as protestors have been rushing towards the ceasefire line to the north of the border.
As the Arab Spring continues across the Gulf and Middle East, protests have been escalating in the West Bank, with hundreds of people demonstrating at the Qalandia checkpoint near Ramallah and in Gaza.
According to reports from Associated Press, Israeli troops opened fire as demonstrators sought to push through the mined ceasefire line, which has been reinforced with two lines of curled barbed wire blocking access to a fence on the occupied Golan Heights.
Up to ten people have been killed and even more wounded, as Syrians continued to approach the border in protest.
