Fitna

A Dutch court has ruled that a member of parliament be prosecuted for a film against Islam. Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party, has responded by saying that the court’s ruling is an ‘attack on the freedom of expression’. Wilders produced a film, Fitna (Arabic for strife), suggesting that terrorist attacks in the USA and Europe were triggered by Islam. ‘Stop Islamisation. Defend our freedom’, was the concluding statement of the film, which drew protests from across the Muslim World.
