Forgotten Reformer

There is no doubt that William Tyndale did most of the ‘heavy lifting’ in connection with the first complete English Bible translated direct from the original languages, but Myles Coverdale (the ‘Forgotten Reformer’) also played a crucial role. This well-researched book seeks to give Coverdale some of the recognition that his labours deserve. Although the material available is scanty, the author does a good job at bringing Coverdale to life and in placing him squarely at the heart of the English Reformation.
