An evangelist for the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing), Donald J. Morrison, has been convicted of domestic abuse by a criminal court in Inverness.
He was found guilty in August, following a two-day trial at Inverness Sheriff Court. The court heard that his wife of 17 years sustained a cut above her eye when he swung out at her.
The court also heard evidence that he struck her on the back of the neck and head repeatedly when they were visiting her family in Holland after the death of her sister.
