A former Anglican minister and a leading figure of the conservative evangelical movement, Jonathan Fletcher, has been charged with criminal offences.

He faces eight counts of indecent assault and one of grievous bodily harm with intent. Aged 81, he was formerly a vicar at Emmanuel Church Wimbledon. He has been bailed to appear at Kingston Crown Court on 7 August.
