Christian campaigner Stephen Green has lost his appeal against his conviction for breaching an abortion buffer zone by displaying a Bible verse.

In February 2023, Green displayed Psalm 139:13, ‘For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb’ (Authorised Version), outside a Marie Stopes facility in Ealing, west London.

He was first convicted by Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court, but he appealed arguing that he was not protesting against abortion, but rather he was protesting against the buffer zone itself.
