More pressure for conversion practices ban

Alicia Kearns MP has tabled an amendment to a Criminal Justice Bill which would outlaw so-called ‘conversion practices’.

She said she wants to stop people in positions of trust, such as church ministers, saying that LGBT practices are ‘sinful’.

However, her amendments fell when the general election was called. But a new government, after the election, is likely to return to the same issue.
