The conference met as usual at Regents Hall on Oxford Street, London. Numbers were down to around 80 attendees due to industrial action on the railways. The six well-researched papers and their subsequent conference discussion were uniformly informative and edifying.
Aaron Prelock (Islington) gave a paper on Thomas Aquinas (1225-74), which was something of a culture shock to the conference. Prelock explored with clarity certain aspects of this Medieval ‘Doctor of the Church’, who was surprisingly often quoted by the Puritans.
