A committee of MPs has published a report looking at the debate on assisted suicide which fails to clearly oppose a change in the law, but it does say more needs to be done to improve end-of-life care.

The House of Commons Health and Social Care Select Committee has starkly outlined the many dangers of legalising assisted suicide.

Care Not Killing, the UK’s leading anti-assisted-suicide group, welcomed the detail of the report, which outlined many dangers of legalisation.

But the pro-life group called the MPs’ refusal to firmly oppose a change in the law ‘disappointing’.
