175 years of witness
The London City Mission has celebrated its 175th anniversary with the publication of a special book – Different London, same mission. It charts the London of yesteryear when, in 1835, it was the largest city in the world, and compares it with the challenges of today. It tells of how thousands of missionaries have pounded the streets bringing the same gospel to countless people down the years (www.lcm.org.uk).
