Forty years presenting Christ

This year marks the 40th anniversary of OAC Ministries (Open Air Campaigners) in Britain, with a Thanksgiving Day to be held on Saturday 12 April in Brighton and Hove.

OAC was founded in Sydney, Australia, in 1892. In 1967 British evangelist David Fanstone was commissioned to start the work in Britain. On Easter Sunday, 14 April 1968, David (with a team of young people from his church) held the first official OAC outreach meeting on the Brighton and Hove seafront.

It is from this single open air meeting that the work has grown and now covers the United Kingdom and more than a dozen countries in Europe.
