Ian Paisley
Ian Paisley, former first minister of Northern Ireland, has been made a peer in the dissolution honours list. Lord Paisley, who was described by the former first minister as ‘a giant of politics in Northern Ireland and throughout the UK’, will join his wife Eileen in the House of Lords. Lady Paisley was made a baroness in 2006.
