North Korea

The world’s most closed nation, North Korea, opened its doors to the international community after heavy flooding in June and July.
According to the BBC, the United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) was allowed to send emergency food aid into the country. The WFP said the initial food assistance would provide flood victims with 400g of maize a day for two weeks, but it did not say when the food would arrive.
The UN said nearly 63,000 people have been rendered homeless, with their houses submerged or partially destroyed.
