Parents of a four-year-old child at a Church of England (CofE) primary school have taken their children out after being told their children would take part in ‘gender identity lessons’.
St Mary’s primary school in Prittlewell, Essex, were told that World Book Day would be marked by getting the children to explore their gender identities through the book ‘My Shadow is Pink’.
2 March is generally marked by children dressing up as their favourite book characters as an encouragement to get children to read.
