The committee of MPs chosen to consider the details of the assisted dying bill has been ‘stacked’ with its supporters, critics have said.

As a private members bill, the bill’s sponsor – Kim Leadbeater MP – can choose whom she wants on the committee.

She has been slated for selecting those who support the bill and only a few who oppose it, leaving some the strongest critics off the committee.
