Steven J Lawson has been removed from his role as pastor by the elders of his church because of his ‘inappropriate relationship’ with an unnamed woman.
Until his removal, Lawson was pastor of Trinity Bible Church in Dallas, Texas, and also the founder and president of One Passion Ministries.
The 73-year-old was also a Teaching Fellow with Ligonier Ministries and Professor of Preaching and Dean of D.Min. studies at John MacArthur’s The Master's Seminary.
He is the author of 33 books and has preached in more than 14 countries, according to his One Passion profile. Lawson has a wife, three sons and a daughter.
