A teenage girl has been taken away from her family in Switzerland because her parents won’t support her ‘gender transition’.

The girl, who cannot be named for safety and privacy reasons, is aged 16 and has been taken to a government shelter.

She has been separated from her parents, who live in Geneva, for over a year as the legal case has been making its way through the Swiss courts.
