The Swiss Supreme Court has ruled that two Christian parents must facilitate their daughter’s gender ‘transition’ under threat of criminal charges, in what they have said is a ‘heartbreaking’ decision.

Backed by ADF International, the parents (who wished to remain anonymous) appealed after a lower court ruling that said they must hand over identity documents of their now 17-year-old daughter to enable her legal ‘sex change’.

They appealed this decision at the Swiss Federal Supreme Court (Schweizerisches Bundesgericht), but the court found in the child’s favour.

The parents have been ordered to endorse her gender transition and enable their child’s legal sex change or face the possibility of criminal charges.
