Thanksgiving service

A special service for outgoing WEST chairman Peter Milsom took place on 21 May, in the College grounds at Bryntirion, Bridgend.
The service was led by the principal, Jonathan Stephen, and the preacher was Peter Lewis, senior pastor of Cornerstone Evangelical Church, Nottingham. The marquee was full with students, staff and supporters from near and far.
A presentation was made to Mr Milsom, after many years of dedicated service. Four leaving staff members were also thanked for their faithful service and given commemorative gifts.
A highlight of the day was the interviewing of leaving students, many of whom had already received calls to a variety of ministries in the UK and abroad.
These were exciting times for the theological seminary. The new board had met for the first time earlier that week, and its members extended their greetings to all who had gathered.
Also, a new scholarship scheme had been announced for those training for ministry in Wales. God willing, there will be a development of the facilities and the teaching staff in the coming year.
Peter Lewis preached powerfully from Revelation 7 on the glorious hope of the global church of God, before the day ended, with many staying for fellowship over tea.
