My name is Linda Dick, and I am a member of Hope Community Church in Barlanark. I’ve lived in the scheme of Barlanark in the east end of Glasgow for 47 years. I wasn’t brought up in a Christian household, so I had no experience of Christianity before.
I have a son called Scott. My late husband was also called Scott, and you can read his story in a separate article. My son started going to the local church youth club every week, and because he has Asperger’s, ADHD, and dyslexia, being around other people is uncomfortable for him. So, as a parent, I started going along with him.
