The Theology of Robert Hall Jr.

Robert Hall Jr is now a lesser known name from the late 17th and early 18th centuries, but in his day he was known as one of the most eloquent Baptist preachers in the UK. Sadly, however, that eloquence seems to have obscured the decided shift of his theology away from the solid Calvinism of his predecessors. It seems remarkable that he could have been open about his belief in universal atonement and still have been regarded as a Particular Baptist, yet so it was.
