The Track series aims to present biblical truth concerning ‘culture, doctrine, and the Christian life’ in an accessible manner. These titles deal with issues which are essential for modern Christian life, especially for students, who often find themselves confronted by worldly living and anti-Christian sentiment.

‘Social Media’ describes the influence that social media platforms such as TikTok have on young people. The issues of online privacy and the distortion of truth are addressed, but the main point is that many people ‘are being discipled by [social media] every day’. The reader is forced to confront their heart’s attitudes towards technology, other people, and ultimately the God they serve. Beyond students, this book would be useful for any Christian who desires to understand the influence that social media has on younger generations.

The Track books are eminently readable, written from a Reformed perspective, and simple without being simplistic, although at times I found myself wishing for a little more detail. They are best read slowly, looking up the Scripture references and actively considering how to respond to the issues discussed.

Christian students who read, heed, and pray through the Track series of books will be greatly benefitted.
