Pro-life and pro-abortion campaigners have turned up the heat in the US and in Canada over various legislative proposals.
In the US, several states have proposed changes to the laws on abortion to be voted on at the same time as the US Presidential Election.
In September, Missouri’s top court ruled that a proposed abortion rights amendment to the state constitution can go ahead and appear on the ballot in November.
The decision will allow voters to decide whether to restore legalised abortion in Missouri for the first time in more than two years.
