It’s just a private members’ bill. There’s no government whip. MPs will be allowed to vote according to their conscience. It’s only to ease the suffering of a few hard cases. That’s what they said in 1967 when abortion was legalised. Since then, about 10 million babies have been aborted, 99 per cent for social reasons. Today, they’re saying the same (or similar) things about assisted suicide.
‘Dangerous’ assisted dying bill introduced
