‘So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!’ (1 Corinthians 10:12). We are all living a life for a reason, however old we are. But I worry about some of the attitudes I am hearing from certain brothers and sisters – some theology (while promoted with good motives) can be damaging.
The problem I have is with the idea that ‘we’re gonna go out and take the world by storm’. Of course, God can do anything, but as we read this Youth Supplement let us prepare for obedience not victory. Why? Because the Lord has already given us the victory – he won it on the cross – and he continues to do so every day (look up Romans 8:37; 2 Corinthians 2:14).
Do you want to be effective for Christ? Then listen to what the Lord says through the following articles and apply it to your lives. That is what is so often missing in Christian young people today – application of the message!
